Sustainability has been a core part of IKEA’s DNA for decades. The opposite? Black Friday. So, leading up to consumerisms darkest day we presented CIRKULÄR. A circular deal that’s better for your wallet - and the planet. First, we asked people to sell their used IKEA furniture back to us. Before Black Friday, we received 155000 pieces of furniture worldwide. Then, we restored and resold them at discounted price in our new CIRCULÄR hubs. Today, CIRKULÄR is a sustainable service in 28 countries, 365 days a year, driving both behavioural change and strengthening the IKEA brand.
